Look at the Mac & Cheese Box Instructions and follow along . Let her see how the instructions relate to cooking the food. See the quantity and how its done. Then serve as part of the meal .

Introduction to Fairy Tales

Aleli watched The Secret of Anastasia and she related to the stories of Snow White . She related to other books I have read. She is looking at th difference between Reality and Fantasy.  She also watched Toy Story 2 as part of seeing the difference between Fantasy and Reality.

She worked on Starfall this morning. She printed out the Gingerbread man to color and practice reading the song.She has worked on Starfall since breakfast. She practiced on the site reading.

Weekend Reading Time

We enjoyed books over the weekend. Aleli read pieces of the book by herself. We looked up a word on "google " to get meaning. The book she read was The Christmas Robin Adapted by Hatley. She looked up the word -"currant". We also looked at the books from the series Toot & Puddle.We also explored the book about Xmass crafts - The Penny Whistle Christmas Party Book.

Tuesday Reading Time

I read a Junie B Jones book to Aleli and asked her questions about the story. I asked her to read some of the words and pages in the story. She also began using the Tag Reader to work independently with the Ozzie and Mack Story. We also read together the Sound Box Books by Moncure for the letter "c" and "b" and reviewed sight words in each book.

Bedtime Stories: Reading

I read this book to Aleli. She tried reading certain places in the book . She looked for familiar words and looked at the pictures. I asked her questions about what was going on in the book or story.

Bedtime Stories : Reading

I read this entire book to Aleli . She likes this series. I asked her questions about the book. We started another Junie B Jones book.
