- Model, write and solve simple number sentences
- Graph weather daily
- Understand the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction
- Identify and sort 3-dimensional shapes by attributes
- Identify and sort 2 dimensional shapes by attributes
- Gather data and use the data to answer questions
- Sort and classify objects by 2 attributes
- Collect, organize, and display data using line plots and tally marks
- Create and extend patterns and identify the pattern unit
- Use problems solving skills
- Develop fluency in solving single step math problems
- Making connections with book to personal experiences, other literature and to things in the world
- Begins using and recognition of “c” for the “s” sound and “g” for the “j”
- Begin using and recognizing double final consonants
- Begin using and recognizing contractions
- Be able to read short “e, u” family words
- Recognize action and naming words
- Make predictions in stories
- Summarize to answer the questions: what, when, where, why, how, what if
Writing
- Be successful in writing a re-count narrative
- Continue concepts of capitalization and punctuation (periods, question marks, etc.)
- Begin use of transitional words (First, Next, Then, Last)
- Begin use of details in writing
